One of the issues with large dry hop additions is the significant beer absorption resulting in less yield and the difficulty in filtering out the hops.

Spectrum from Baart Hass is a product to help with both of these problems.It is an alternative product to standard dry hopping. It is prepared from 100% hop pellets. No additives, solvents or carriers are included. Sounds good?

It has the look and  consistency of treacle.  I dissolved this in a little water and added it midway through fermentation to a hugely hoppy 8.5%  NEIPA.

I also triple dry hopped with many pellets and still yet to taste this beast. I can’t wait.
