Ten Ton Truck

This was an attempted clone of Brewdog’s Ten Ton Truck. It was planned to be 10% stout but my efficiency is not the same as Brewdog’s and it only came out at 7.5%

However,  because of this lack in efficiency, I knew there must still be some sugars left in the grains. Given that I could now pump hot water from the chiller, I decided to make a small beer.

Mint Choc Mild

I had never made a small beer before and was curious to see what the OG would be.  That came out at 1.030 resulting in a final ABV of 3.0%

I dry hopped it for 2 days with 20g  of Polaris. I had never used these hops  before,  but because they have a hint of mint about them, I thought they might go well in a chocolate beer.

The result was a Mint Choc Mild which had loads of flavour and at only 3% is eminently drinkable. A nice little surprise,  that I will definitely be making again!
